Brigitta grew up in the competitive figure skating world, which peaked her interest in sports and the movement of the human body. She completed her Specialized Honours Degree in Kinesiology & Health Sciences and began coaching skating professionally. Brigitta is an NCCP Level 1 Skating Coach with over 12 years of international coaching experience. In 2011, Brigitta graduated from the Paramedic Program and has been working in Emergency Medical Services as a Primary Care Paramedic for over 9 years, which has allowed her to work privately at professional sporting events, bringing her back to her home, the rink.
Brigitta’s desire to apply a more holistic approach to healthcare and build long-standing relationships with patients lead her to pursue a Doctorate Degree in Naturopathic Medicine. In her internship year, she earned a spot on the Sports Medicine focus shift and became dedicated to all things post concussion care. In addition to her formal training at CCNM, Brigitta also became certified as Sports Nutritionist with ISSN and began her CranioSacral Therapy training.
Brigitta quickly realized that having the privilege of spanning both the Emergency and Naturopathic Medical worlds, she can intimately understand the challenges patient’s face when looking for support for their health needs, especially when it comes to post concussion care. Brigitta is dedicated to integrating the current evidence based research and her unique skill set with each client’s individualized goals to provide unconventional collaborative care.
